Upon Waking
Blessedly slept in 15 minutes. I’ll TAKE IT.
Churchin’
Paster Charlie from DC Metro preached on the fruits of the spirit. As always, this resonated with me. I’ve been short tempered and overwhelmed lately with caring for my elderly dog. Suffice to say I’ve been a bit like a Siberian nurse. She could do with more attentive and loving care. I remind myself my pup was once my “baby” and God is asking me to take care of her in this journey in life. In fact, he entrusted that task to me, specifically. Cliffs note to self: stop whining.
Lunchin’
We had lunch at home today. This suited me just fine, as the bae discovered peanut butter and jelly a.k.a. the easiest meal ever created that is pseudo nutritional and kid approved.
Relaxin’
Bae took a nice, long nap which allowed us to finish “Bohemian Rhapsody.” I think it a fine trade.
End of Days
We met friends for a birthday out at a restaurant. Bae behaved beautifully (with screen time) and it was nice to snatch small pockets of adult conversation in-between monitoring how far she threw her macaroni. Minor stressful situation on the way back when, during a downpour, my windshield wipers up and quit on me. Writing a psalm in my head, I hunched forward and 25 mile and houred it home, where I arrived safely! God be praised.
Hi/Low
Feeling guilty about the dog took up a brunt of my emotional stress. Not that it wasn’t deserved. The high was definitely the long nap by bae, and the fun night out. Most importantly, the windshield wiper fail represents a major high to me. We were safe, no one freaked out, and God answers prayers. What else can one ask for?
